PES College, Bangalore (1986-1989): In 1986, I joined PES College, Bangalore, as a Lecturer in Biology. During my time there, I honed my teaching skills, particularly in the area of medicinal plants, and found great satisfaction in teaching B.Pharm and D.Pharm students.
Department of Botany, S.V. University, Tirupati (1989-2022): In 1989, I became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany at S.V. University, Tirupati. I was involved in teaching various subjects, including Algae, Gymnosperms, Ethnobotany, Genetics, Horticulture, Herbal Cosmetics, Hydroponics, Bioinformatics, and Computer Applications to M.Sc. students. I was promoted to Senior Assistant Professor in 1994. During this period, I played a key role in developing the M.Sc. semester system syllabus and designing the curriculum for a P.G. Diploma in Plant Drugs..
I began guiding students toward the completion of M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees, and I initiated research in Hydroponics, establishing a Hydroponics farm within the Department of Botany. In 2016, I introduced Hydroponics as an open elective course and have organized training programs on the subject since 2015 for students, teachers, and the general public. I also created a YouTube channel, where I conduct online webinars on urban farming and hydroponics: Urban Farming Technology.
